Abstract:
Spin angular momentum is one of two types of angular momentum in quantum mechanics. Though its introduction has been proposed more than 100 years, it is still considered as an abstruse quantum property not amenable to physical explanation. Staring from the overview on the origin of spin angular momentum, several studies of spin-related phenomena will be introduced. (magnetism of 2D in reduced dimension, dynamics of spin pumping, non-linear magnetic vortex core reversal…) Finally, our probes in quantum metrology especially with electron spin will be introduced.
